Fifteen years inside the sector.

Ventra exists because its founder spent fifteen years on Australian campuses, watching every one of them deliver coffee badly, not understanding its experience and retention potential.

Claudio Da Rocha

Fifteen years in Australian international education - pathway colleges, private higher education providers and universities, in roles across brand and marketing, student experience and employee experience, spanning operations through to senior leadership.

That career means Ventra arrives on campus already knowing things a coffee company shouldn't have to be taught: what intake week does to a facilities team, why census dates change staffing pressure, what CRICOS compliance expects of everyone operating on site, and why student experience has become a retention lever rather than a nice-to-have.

The observation behind the business is simple. Campuses kept investing in experience: buildings, technology, support services. Yet the most frequently touched amenity on site ran on unmanaged machines, commodity beans and a service contract nobody could name. Coffee was everyone's problem and no one's responsibility.

Ventra makes it one partner's job. Ours.

Our sector knowledge is the difference.

Calendar

We already know your year

Teaching weeks, breaks, intakes, census, exams: service and volumes are planned around the academic rhythm from day one.

Compliance

We know your environment

A supplier operating on a CRICOS-registered campus carries obligations. We arrive understanding them, not learning them on your time.

Procurement

We know how you buy

Approval thresholds, committee cycles, one-vendor preferences: the commercial model is shaped to pass procurement, not fight it.

When coffee is everyone's problem and no one's responsibility, the person who ends up owning it is whichever of your team noticed the machine was down. Ventra makes it one partner's job. The sector knowledge described above is what keeps that promise on a Tuesday in O-Week.
